Troubleshooting
The usual breaks, and the check that finds them.
Most failures are a key, a status nobody mapped, or a field both sides were allowed to edit. Start there before you rebuild the connector.
| What you see | Check this | Then |
|---|---|---|
| Duplicate contacts | The match key, usually email | Match before create. Do not widen the key until you have read the duplicates. |
| Missing orders | Statuses the map skips | Name every status you care about. A skipped status looks like a lost order. |
| The owner changed overnight | Whether owner is in the inbound map | Take it out. The ERP should not assign the rep. |
| 429 responses | Batch size and retry | Slow the job. Log what waited. A tight retry floods the portal. |
| Two totals | Which system is allowed to write amount | One winner. The other displays. |
Write the key on the page before you change it.
If the next person cannot see what a match is, they will add a second rule. That is a second set of duplicates.
